Cypress Court to Host Free BBQ and Flag Raising Ceremony in Celebration of Memorial Day

On Monday, May 26, Cypress Court, a
Kisco Senior Living Community, will host a flag raising ceremony in observance
of the Memorial Day holiday. The event will begin at 10 a.m. near the Cypress
Court front entrance, with the sounds of patriotic music, followed by a Cypress
Court chef-prepared Memorial Day BBQ at 11 a.m. The occasion will culminate
from 1-1:30 p.m. when a representative from the Frontier Army of the West will
raise the flag in honor of veteran Cypress Court residents, as well as in remembrance
of the men and woman of Escondido who gave their life while serving in the
United States Armed Forces.

Cypress Court Executive Director Jamie
Lemon says, “We are truly proud to invite the greater community to Cypress
Court to celebrate a day that marks the shared history of many of our residents
and Escondido neighbors.”

At the start of the event, Lemon will address
attendees with welcoming remarks, and the Escondido City Council has been
invited to attend.
