Autumn Old Artesian Foodie Tour

Go back in time with us to the 1800s! ONLY OFFERED ONCE THIS YEAR!
Award winning George Geary Culinary Adventures will be teaming with
Great News for a day of fun and food filled adventures! We will start
out with coffee and pastry in the morning prior to loading the Deluxe
Motor Coach (restrooms on board) to the Inland Empire and Foothills of
Sierra Madre and Route 66. We will stop at Tom’s Farm in Temescal Valley
where the bread will still be hot and the produce fresh off of the
vine. They also have one of the largest candy displays. On weekends you
will also find the local craft fair.   Then off to the first wine
regions of the state, Rancho Cucamonga. We will have a private tour of a
winery and tasting of historical flavors. Next we will visit an 1894
Olive Packing Facility full of history and tastings of the best olives
in the country. Learn the perfect brining process. We then will follow
historical Route 66 into Sierra Madre to an 1891 family owned preserve
company where the third generation is still making Jams and Jellies. We
will tour the production facilities and sample some of the season’s
flavors.  This is just a sampling of some of the places we will be
visiting. At time of printing we had not confirmed other stops.  We will
then head back to Great News with approximate arrival time 6pm.
Tour
is limited to age 18 and above. Under 21 may not taste or partake in
the winery portions.  All transportation, samples where indicated, entry
into wineries and private tours, award winning tour guide, all tipping
and more is inclusive. Lunch is on your own for purchase at Tom’s
Farms.  All destinations and tours are subject to change. If we do have
to change the tour we will make a substitute of equal or greater value.
Arrival back to the store is an estimate, as we cannot control the
traffic.

The tour is limited so reserve today. NO CANCELLATIONS CAN BE MADE AFTER SEPTEMBER 1st.
However, you can send someone in your place.  Wear comfortable shoes as
we will be walking and getting on and off the motor coach. The coach is
not able to handle wheelchairs or walkers. If you would like, bring a
shopping cooler and maybe a bag to carry purchases. Some vendors only
accept cash so if you plan on purchasing anything while on the tour
please bring cash. http://www.great-news.com/show_event.php?id=873&o=2&c=7&m=10&a=&y=2013&w=Saturday
