20th Annual Bruce Gorder UCSD 5K Walk for Melanoma

The Bruce Gorder UCSD 5K Walk for Melanoma was started in honor of Bruce Gorder, who died from melanoma in 1992 at the age of 37. The walk serves to build the public's awareness of the importance of prevention and early detection of melanoma. Along with free skin cancer screenings for registered participants, the walk raises funds that directly support melanoma research at the Moores Cancer Center and has raised more than $1.1 million to date. Registration is $35 for general participant, $25 for students.
