Mail Ballots and Early Voting Starts Monday in San Diego

Early voting in the San Diego mayoral race is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the Kearny Mesa office of the County Registrar of Voters, 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite I.

Monday is the first day mail ballots and early voting will be available for the Nov. 19 mayoral election.

Early voting is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the Kearny Mesa office of the County Registrar of Voters, 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite I.

The special election was made necessary by the Aug. 30 resignation of Bob Filner.

Nov. 4 is the last day to register to vote.

On Nov. 8, mail ballots will be opened and prepared for computer tabulation.

Nov. 12 is the last day to apply for a mail ballot.

On Nov. 19, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the Special Municipal Election. If no mayoral candidate receives a majority, 50 percent plus 1, of the votes a run-off election will be held between the top two vote- getters after the first of the year.

There are no propositions on the ballot.
