Weather Forecast Aug. 19–25

The weather's been warm, really warm in La Jolla. Maybe businesses and some of our neighbors even turned on their air conditioners this week.

The National Weather Service forecasts more moderate weather this week. Monday will likely be the best beach day with the warmest temperatures. Nights will cool down to 62 to 66 degrees.

Open up the windows and enjoy the calm winds this week.

• Monday: Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
• Monday Night: Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 66. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Tuesday: Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
• Tuesday Night: Patchy fog after 11 p.m. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 64. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
• Wednesday: Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 71.
