“Heidi, Will you marry Scott?”
A diver during Saturday’s Kelp Tank Dive Show at Birch Aquarium held up a sign asking this very special question.
U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer Scott Mielock, stationed at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, proposed to girlfriend Heidi Brueggman in front of family and dozens of guests at the aquarium. Mielock is an explosive ordnance disposal technician who returned earlier this month from a deployment in Afghanistan.
The couple already scheduled their nuptials in May, but Mielock never officially proposed.
And, of course, she said “yes.”
Mielock met Brueggman a year ago while attending Officer Commissioning School in Rhode Island.
