Trivia: Who Was Not Looking for a Kiss on Prom Night?

With La Jolla High School's prom this weekend, we wanted to spark some prom memories—hopefully good ones.

Prom: this tiny four-letter word holds the power to evoke any number of emotions, ranging from the euphoric to the utterly traumatic. Whether your experience of spring formal dances mingled with raging teenage hormones spawned the best night of dancing and partying ever or the evening you’d most like to forget, you’re not alone.

As La Jolla High School seniors prepare for their night of glamour tonigh, it seems only appropriate to point out that while the event is considered by many as an important rite of passage, prom night is not to be taken too seriously. Even if you lack a date or your dress looks like a 1980s nightmare straight out of a Molly Ringwald movie, trust me, you’ll laugh about it later.

If you don’t believe me, take one celebrity’s story for example. According to the New York Post, this female front lady claimed such dislike for one of her prom dates, that for fear he would try to kiss her, she pretended to fall asleep.

Answer to , in which we asked which jockey had three derby titles from 2001-10:

C. Calvin Borel rode Street Sense to victory in 2007, Mine That Bird in 2009 and Super Saver in 2010. Unfortunately, our betting theory was debunked this year when Borel failed to pull a three-peat atop Twice the Appeal, with a rather unappealing 10th place finish.
