Trivia: LJHS Graduates Are Kind of a Big Deal

Aside from consistently ranking as one of the top public schools, La Jolla High School has a habit of churning out some notable names.

A California Distinguished School, has built a reputation that precedes itself, and its students, in a first-rate way. With some of the state’s best and brightest fostered here each year, it’s no secret that LJHS grads often go on to make noteworthy local, national and even international contributions.

Take for example, Gore Verbinski, director of the box office smashing Pirates of the Caribbean movies. His filmmaking aspirations can be traced back to the halls of LJHS, which helped secure him a spot at UCLA’s famed film school.

There’s also Trip Hawkins, a LJHS grad and prominent figure on the once scarce frontier of video games. After high school, he went on to Harvard where he created his own major in the field of game theory and later founded Electronic Arts (EA) in 1982.

The list below includes some more prominent LJHS grads, with the exception of one. Choose the notable name below that does not belong to the LJHS alumni roster?
