SDG&E Returning Power to 1,400 Customers

In La Jolla, 183 customers without power this morning.

Nearly 1,400 San Diego Gas & Electric customers were without power early today because of storm-related outages.

As of 3 a.m., nine outages were in effect, from Julian to La Jolla, according to the utility's website.

In La Jolla, 183 customers in La Jolla were in the dark. Power was restored to this area by at least 9:32 a.m.

Three of the nine outages were in the Live Oaks Springs/Boulevard area, where 920 customers lost power between 9:34 p.m. Monday and 12:47 a.m. today, SDG&E reported.

In Lakeside, lightning caused 30 customers to lose power around 9 p.m. Monday.

Other outages affected: 98 customers in the Julian/Santa Ysabel area, two in Blossom Valley, 153 in East Descanso.

All the outages except for the one in the Julian/Santa Ysabel area were expected to be resolved later this morning. SDG&E estimates electricity will be restored to Julian/Santa Ysabel customers this afternoon.
