San Diego Shakes After 3.2 Earthquake

The temblor was centered near Santa Catalina Island at 2:28 p.m., Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2 hit this afternoon about 13 miles west of Del Mar, but caused no reported damage or significant ground tremors.

No emergency calls resulted from the shaker, according to dispatchers with several northern San Diego County public-safety agencies.
