The La Jolla Concerts by the Sea summer series starts this weekend. The 2011 season has a number of musical genres planned including big band, blues, classic rock and roll, comtemporary jazz and swing at .
First up is The Heroes, a rock and roll band, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. The seven-piece band has two female singers backed by a guitarist, keyboardist, bassist, drummer and saxophonist.
Each Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., families and friends can gather at the coastal park near the Cove for live music.
