Updated 12:00 a.m., March 24, 2012: If you believe adoption is a great option, please continue to share photos of your puppies and dogs after the deadline. While these uploads will not effect the donation amount, we will continue to celebrate cuteness.
Happy National Puppy Day! The mission of Puppy Day is to celebrate all the wondrous things about puppies, educate the public about the plight of puppies in puppy mills, and to save as many as possible.
Puppies are just adorable with their cute puppy eyes, bare bellies, velvety soft ears, tiny little tails and ackward enthusiasm. Even their breath smells sweet!
The goal for the day is to save 10,000 homeless puppies nationwide. There are plenty of puppies and dogs available at local shelters.
We here at Patch will make a donation for EVERY puppy photo or puppy at heart pic that is uploaded onto the site. The donations will go to the Friends of the County Animal Shelters, which Please send photos by 11:59 PST on March 23.
Whether you have a loyal Labrador, a curious collie or bouncy Boston terrier, send us a photo by clicking "add your photos & videos" above. Don't forget to tell us the name of your furry friend. And don't forget to tell your fellow dog and puppy parents on Facebook and Twitter.
