Christmas Day Meals in La Jolla, Restaurants Open Dec. 25

You don't need to cook the roast beast yourself. Let the talented chefs in La Jolla do your holiday cooking. Several restaurants are open in La Jolla for the holidays.

is hosting a Christmas Day Buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Menu items including Chili Braised Pork Cheek Salad and Pomegranate Tarragon Smoked Salmon, and gourmet main courses of Black Angus Top Sirloin, Eden Farm Bone-In Iowa Ham. Dessert picks include Chocolate Candied Orange Sambuca Bread Pudding. In addition, the Shores will have a station for the children with some kids' favorites. The cost is $44 for adults, with special pricing for children 12 and under.

Join the Christmas Day Buffet at . Seating times run from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Carolers will perform from noon to 3 p.m. too. There will be everything from omelets and waffle stations to Maple Glazed Ham, Herb Roasted Prime Rib and Sweet Potato Pie. The buffet is $75 for adults, $90 with bottomless champagne, and $38 per child 12 and under.

The will serve a three course Christmas dinner for $75 per person. Menu items include Porcini Mushroom and Chestnut Soup, Blue Cheese and Three Onion Tart, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Pan Roasted Swordfish, and Sonoma Duck Breast and Confit Leg. Dessert options include Chocolate and Peppermint Layer Cake with Chocolate Sorbet and an Eggnog Crème Brûlèe with Brandy Spice Cookies.

All three dining levels at will be open on Christmas Day. California Modern is open from 2 to 9 p.m. with a special holiday a la carte menu. George’s Bar is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. with its full lunch and dinner menu. And lastly, Ocean Terrace will be open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Be sure to try one of their signature drinks too.

at La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club is serving on Christmas Day from noon to 7 p.m. Menu items include Dill Pollen Scented Diver Scallop and Tuna Tiger Eye ($18), Absinthe Plugra Butter Basted Main Lobster Tail ($39), Midwestern Center Cut Angus Filet Mignon ($41), Cordillera Chocolate Orange Marmalade Yule Log dessert ($10).
