Car Show Driving into La Jolla This Weekend

The Concours d'Elegance is rolling into La Jolla this weekend. The car show on Sunday is the highlight of the three-day weekend filled with activities for auto enthusiasts. Events include a motor tour, movie in the park and cocktail party.

Proceeds of the annual event support the La Jolla Historical Society and the Monarch School.

Contemporary Classic Cocktail Party

• Date: Friday, April 5
• Time: 7 to 10 p.m.
• Location: Amaya La Jolla
• Price: $125

La Jolla Concours Motor Tour

• Date: Saturday, April 6
• Time: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Location: Meet at the San Diego Automotive Museum in Balboa Park
• Price: $150 for 2 people per vehicle (limited to first 75 entries)
• Event Details: The tour cruises 60 to 70 miles of San Diego’s most scenic locations. A catered lunch at one of the stops is included. Stop include visits to exclusive car collector museums.

VIP Reception and Silent Auction

• Date: Saturday, April 6
• Time: 6 to 9 p.m.
• Location: Ellen Browning Scripps Park
• Price: $100
• Event Details: Cuisine provided by Eddie V’s, Puesto, Roppongi and La Valencia. Bid on silent auction items to raise money for the La Jolla Historical Association and Monarch School.

Movie Night in the Park

• Event Details: The movie will be Pixar’s Cars
• Tickets: No tickets necessary

La Jolla Concours D’Elegance

• Date: Sunday, April 7
• Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Location: Ellen Browning Scripps Park
• Price: $35 in advance, $40 at gate, $100 VIP
• Event Details: A judged car show. In addition, cars will be lined up outside of the main gate for free viewing.
