Coastal Meetings with a Twist at Hotel La Jolla

Business meetings can seem endless and tiring, especially when one is traveling for work. To help break up the routine, Kimpton’s Hotel La Jolla is now offering a ‘Work.Stay.Play’ package that infuses a bit of Southern California flair into group meetings.

Not only can this package help kick start or wind down the day, but any of the activities below can be used as ice breakers, team builders or networking opportunities.

In addition to deluxe accommodations, hosted nightly wine hour, and high-speed Wi-Fi, corporate groups booking two nights for 15+ guests will receive a choice of the following:

  • Arranged group kayaking adventure at La Jolla Shores Beach, with OEX dive and kayak
  • Mixology class/team builder with top San Diego mixologist, Nate Howell, at hotel’s pool deck and lounge
  • Poolside group yoga session with local yogi; mats, towels provided
  • Wine pairing class with the chef at hotel’s 11th floor Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, Cusp
“Each option in our new ‘Work.Stay.Play’ group package lets the guests experience our distinctive approach to wellness,” said Erin Guccion, sales director at Hotel La Jolla. “Whether employees choose to start their morning with soothing poolside yoga, energize their mind with kayaking in the Pacific or wind down after a full day with wine pairing and mixology tips, the choices offer great bonding and ice-breaker opportunities.”

Located in Southern California’s famed La Jolla Shores neighborhood, the 110-deluxe ocean-view room boutique is walking distance to the beach and minutes away from major business districts, universities and the downtown convention center. The hotel features several meeting space options, from the 950 sq. ft. 11th floor panoramic Starling Ballroom (with views of the Pacific) to more than 2,000 sq. ft. of naturally-lit flexible event space at Hiatus lounge.
