Students Learn about Taking Care of the Planet

Students from The Children’s School gathered for a fun morning of hands-on science during a recent visit from EnviroSchool. Third through eighth grade students participated in experiments and games teaching them about the importance of taking care of our planet. While digging through composted soil, the students hunted for earthworms, centipedes, green beetles, and many other fun critters.  They also made paper containing flax and pea seeds, which they will soon be planting. The experience was capped off by a visit from Dr. Zoolittle and two animal friends, an owl and snake!
