Prekindergarteners Collect Toys for Kids in Orphanages

Prekindergarten students at The Children’s School recently held a toy drive for It’s All About the Kids, an organization supporting orphanages in Baja Mexico. This idea came about during their study of families. As the students were sharing what they know about families, one student shared that kids who don't have moms and dads live in orphanages. This raised questions about who takes care of kids in orphanages. The students then decided to help such kids.

Their teacher, Jennifer Schaffer, did some research and found It's All About the Kids, which raises funds for several charities, including orphanages in Baja. The students agreed that they wanted to help the organization, and started collecting new books, toys, games and educational materials for children. The TCS students were very excited to help those without moms and dads, and very appreciative of all that their moms and dads provide for them.
