TCS Fourth Grade Raises Nearly $2,000 for Marshall Elementary

Fourth Grade students at The Children's School (TCS) raise nearly $2,000 in an effort to help Marshall Elementary fourth graders attend Indian Hills Camp in Jamul.

In an effort to to attend Indian Hills Camp in Jamul, Fourth Grade students at The Children's School (TCS) performed two plays, accepted voluntary donations from the TCS community, and conducted a handful of individual fundraising activities.

Earlier this week, Fourth Grade teacher Denise Pollak shared the following exciting news via Facebook.

Holy moly! Over the past 3 weeks, my students and the students in our fellow Fourth Grade class have been putting together a play and documentary about the Gold Rush as a fundraising effort to help 100+ Fourth Graders at Marshall Elementary go on a local overnight trip to learn about the Gold Rush. Our kids are fortunate to go to Sacramento overnight to learn about the Gold Rush, so this was a perfect opportunity for us to give back and help some of our local, deserving 'friends' that are not as fortunate as our kids are! We raised a whopping $1,977 in just two presentations and some side fundraising that our kids did (without prompting). Such a proud teacher right now!
