Summer House at Wesley Palms Receives NAHB Silver Award For Best 50+ Remodeling Project

Summer House, an innovative memory care neighborhood within Wesley Palms, a Front Porch retirement community located in Pacific Beach overlooking San Diego’s Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean, received the Silver Award from the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Housing Council in the “Best of 50+ Remodeling Project” category. Summer House received the honor at the 2014 "Best of 50+ Housing Awards, which recognize excellence and innovation in the design, development, lifestyle and marketing of housing for the mature market.

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive the Silver Award by the NAHB,” said Ben Geske, Wesley Palms’ executive director. “Summer House is uniquely designed to be as warm and comfortable as a cherished summer home. We worked diligently to address every detail in meeting the needs of our residents in an atmosphere that encourages wellbeing. This award is a reflection of both the renovations, and the environment Summer House strives to create for its residents.” Wesley Palms also received the NAHB Gold Award for Innovative Interior Design in 2012.
