Fish & Richardson Attorney Juanita Brooks Named One of California’s 2013 Top 100 Lawyers by the Daily Journal

Fish & Richardson principal Juanita Brooks has been named one of California’s 2013 Top 100 Lawyers by the Daily Journal, the largest legal industry publication in California.

Every year the Daily Journal looks for attorneys throughout California whose work has made the widest impact. It seeks to honor those who are making a difference and working to change the industry or society as a whole. Nominations are submitted by peers, employers and clients, and this year, nearly 1000 attorneys were considered.

As one of California’s 2013 Top 100 Lawyers, Brooks was recognized for her major win in June for Fresenius Medical Care Holdings Inc. which was widely watched by the legal industry and held that that federal trial and appellate courts are required by statute to dismiss pending patent cases if the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) has cancelled the asserted claims through reexamination.
