The Official List of the Unofficial Mayors of La Jolla

Find out who are the Foursquare mayors of 20 La Jolla hotspots.

We all know who is the mayor of San Diego, but do you know the real mayors of La Jolla? Foursquare, a social networking mobile application, awards “mayorships” to customers with the most days checked into a venue over the last 60 days.

Not everyone is social networking savvy. Let us first bring you up to speed. A total of 15 million people use Foursquare, an application that allows users to “check in” at businesses, parks, landmarks and schools by using their cell phone. Users can share tips and pictures through the network and follow friends and community members too. Business users can share deals and discounts.

(Shameless plug: Follow us on Foursquare too. We can be found here or by searching for "La Jolla Patch.")
