The staff from the Pearl Street location will run the new location about three blocks away. The new Starbucks on N. Torrey Pines Road will open on Aug. 31.
A Starbucks spokesperson said the new location will also offer a new brewing system. "We’ll also introduce the Clover brewing system at this location, a one-of-a-kind technology that highlights rich and distinctive flavors of coffee, one perfect cup at a time. It is the recommended in-store brewing method to bring out complex flavors and highlight subtle nuances of Starbucks Reserve coffees. We’re excited to continue our relationship with our customers in the La Jolla community," he said.
