Pleiku Cafe Opened On Fay Avenue

A new restaurant with modern Asian cuisine is now serving up fresh breakfast, lunch and dinner in La Jolla.

A few short months ago, a new family-owned restaurant opened up on Fay Avenue. Pleiku Cafe, tucked in next to Tapenade and across the street from Jonathan's, serves up modern Asian cuisine. Many of the Vietnamese and Asian recipes are stripped down to fresh simple dishes. Pleiku's menu has five appetizers, seven spring rolls, three soups, three salads, a stew and daily lunch special.

With menu items like fried tofu, a plethora of spring rolls, chicken satay skewers, pho, crab and asparagus soup, a shrimp and mango salad, Thai beef salad, and hearty Vietnamese beef stew, it is easy to fill up.

If you save room, there are waffles for dessert. Waffle options are coconut and pandan leaf waffles, jasmine waffles, or coconut waffles served with powdered sugar, whipped cream and coconut shavings.
