You don't have to travel too far for a great cup of coffee in San Diego. America's Finest City made Travel+Leisure's America's Best Coffee Cities list and one La Jolla coffee shop received quite a note for its award-winning cups of joe.
Travel+Leisure writes: While sunny San Diego may not seem like an obvious top 10 coffee city, readers may have changed their minds after taking a dip in the chilly Pacific. Near the beach in La Jolla, check out the award-winning Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, started by a former English teacher.
Roast magazine named Bird Rock Coffee Roasters as its 2012 Roaster of the Year. You can really smell and taste the quality at the shop, which is a popular La Jolla Boulevard hangout. "From the farmer to the beans, the roasting to the brewing, to our service, our relationship with our neighborhood and our impact on the environment. We are always striving for perfection," it stated on its website.
