Median Home Prices in La Jolla Edging Up
The median price and the number of listings sold in 92037 increased last month compared to February 2011, according to the San Diego Association of Realtors.
Home sales in San Diego County rose by 16.3 percent in February, compared to the same month a year ago, according to La Jolla-based DataQuick.
A total of 2,709 homes changed hands locally last month, compared to
2,330 in February 2011. The median price of a home in San Diego County in February was $305,000, down from $308,000 in February 2011, DataQuick reported.
While county home prices dipped by 1 percent in February, in La Jolla prices increased. The median home price was $1,370,250 for a single family home compared to $1,220,000 in February 2011 and $418,000 for an attached home compared to $423,500, according to the San Diego Association of Realtors.

A total of 43 homes sold in La Jolla last month, compared to 31 in February 2011, according to San Diego Association of Realtors. However, the number of days a listing sat on the market before sale increased for both single family and attached homes. The average number of days on the market for single family homes was 125 in February in La Jolla and the average number of days on the market for attached homes, such as condos, was 134.
