Krafty Krepes Opens on Prospect
The new crepe shop offers sweet and savory crepes, panini sandwiches, pastries and a selection of hot and cold beverages.
With menu items like the Arc de Triumph and the Notre Dame, it is easy to be swept off to a crepery in Paris. However, a new crepe shop on Prospect Street created a menu that marries traditional crepe recipes and Southern California cuisine. Krafty Krepes, which opened today, has simple creations like Nutella crepes and more local creations like the San Diego Sunrise with sliced turkey, scrambled eggs and lots of avocado.
Krafty Krepes serves both sweet and savory crepes, paninis, Bread and Cie pastries, and hot and cold beverages. It will be open 7-days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Owner Tim Hinde, a Rancho Bernardo resident, has opened several restaurants in Paris, but this is his first go in San Diego and La Jolla. Hinde said Krafty Krepes will serve fantastic food that are perfect quick bites while in the Village.
