A tour that started in San Francisco is bringing its pub crawl style foodie event to La Jolla.

A new tour is coming to La Jolla that includes food and walking—DishCrawl.

DishCrawl is a like a pub crawl, but with food. It stops at four different restaurants for four different courses with a short walk in between the locations. Participants not only nosh on those restaurants specialties but they get to meet the chefs and owners.

Participating restaurants are kept secret until two days before the event, at which time only first location is revealed to ticket holders. Ticket holders of the Jan. 29 event are notified of the meeting location via email.

“We’ve done over 500 events and are so excited to come to La Jolla,” Lee said by phone.

Lee said the mission is to show food lovers the best dishes in local restaurants.

DishCrawl events are typically open to 25 to 40 diners.

“It’s just big enough to feel comfortable being social and get to know everyone, but small enough to be intimate,” she said.

Lee suggestions diners dress business casual, wear comfortable shoes and come hungry.

Tickets are $45 for the Jan. 29 event. You can order tickets online.
