Farm to Fork Produce: Organic Produce and Fresh Juice Market
Farm to Fork Produce owners realized that Bird Rock was lacking a locally grown organic produce and fresh juice market. With that, the store was born.
Eating healthy is by no means a new trend to La Jollans. Until recently, though, residents of Bird Rock needed to travel to downtown La Jolla or into Pacific Beach to get their organic juice and produce fix.
Farm to Fork Produce packs more than two pounds of fresh, organic produce into each of their juices. They also use a Norwalk Hydraulic Press to make their juices, which allow for three to five times the nutrients to be preserved in the process.
The store, which opened late last year and is tucked in behind , offers a number of organic, in-season fruits and vegetables and buys as much as they can from local farmers. If there is an in-season item you're itching to cook with but haven't been able to locate on your own, Farm to Fork owners invite you to contact them and they will try to arrange their growers to bring it to their store.
