Business Is Brewing: La Jolla Brewing Company Has Soft Opening

The highly anticipated restaurant and craft beer destination will have its grand opening on Jan. 30.

The time has finally come for La Jolla Brewing Company to open its doors. The latest addition to San Diego’s craft beer scene opened quietly on Fay Avenue on Dec. 30th. Though not yet in full swing, the restaurant will be open from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 10 pm. Saturday and Sunday. They will host their official grand opening on Jan. 30.

The restaurant is currently offering more than two dozen craft beers on tap and hopes to add four more of their own in the coming weeks.

“We have brewed four beers to fill up our fermenters, and they are, Neptune Nitro, our lightest beer dispensed on a slow pour tap, Gliderport Pale Ale, Birdrock Brown and Cove Stout,” Brett Stampf said. “I anticipate to start serving the first one toward the end of next week. Once a fermenter becomes available, we will brew the Sunny Jim IPA and the first seasonal beer will be a rather hefty stout to combat the harsh San Diego winter.”
