Beaumont's Business Is Booming in Bird Rock with New Menu, Look

Beaumont's Eatery recently reopened after an extensive remodel.

Beaumont’s Eatery has grown up. The Bird Rock restaurant and bar and recently completed renovations to both its décor and menu.

In just 10 days in late February, Beaumont’s installed a new floor, painted, hung new and local artwork, brought in new chairs, built higher booths and created a reflective bar back. It also revamped its outdoor dining area with couch seating, new lighting fixtures, heaters and a new awning. The interior space now has pops of bright color throughout.

Its menu was extensively remodeled as well. Chef George Morris rebuilt its dinner menu with numerous new dishes including a linguini with clams, wild mushroom risotto, and a duckwich with pineapple-chipotle barbecue duck, bruleed banana, cilantro, red onion and Brie.

Early new menu item favorites include the saucy lamb meatballs, Southern wedge salad with friend chicken, bacon, red pepper, blue cheese and Tabasco ranch dressing, and its pan roasted sea bass with bacon jam.

“In entering our seventh year, we felt a bit of a Seven Year Itch,” said Beaumont’s co-owner Dave Heine in a statement. “We embraced this feeling as an opportunity for Beaumont’s to do some growing up.”

Bar Manager Gavin McManes also revamped the wine list. All bottles are $45 and less. And the bar expanded its California beer list from six to 10 taps.

The changes are bringing more than just the neighbors in too.

“Now we are on the radar; people are now traveling to come here, while before it was mostly local,” said General Manager Brianna Gillin. “Our name's out there and it is really exciting to show off the place and menu.”
