700,000 Orders Up! Popular La Jolla Dish Is Big Seller

Recently, Brockton Villa served up its 700,000th order of it's signature breakfast dish—Coast Toast.

Four-year-old Jack recently ordered the 700,000 plate of Coast Toast at Brockton Villa in La Jolla. The fluffy, sweet and syrupy dish with a pinch of vanilla and orange is Brockton Villa's twist on French toast and is one of its most ordered menu item since being introduced 20 years ago.

Jack was honored with a t-shirt and the gift of unlimited Coast Toast through Labor Day. We wonder if his appetite rivals that of Joey Chesnut, who just down 69 hot dogs at the national competition at Nathan's in Coney Island on July 4.

Patch shared Brockton Villa's Coast Toast recipe in 2010. If you have an extra 10 eggs at the house, read it here and get cooking. If not, see you at Brockton Villa!
