Glamorous ladies (and a few gents) headed to Tuesday night for an evening of Cocktails, Canapés and Couture. The historic hotel was decked out in holiday decor and served as a perfect setting for a fundraising fashion and trunk show.
Nicole Miller, a women's clothing and accessories retailer, dressed the local models in cocktail and formal long gowns fit for holiday celebrations. Nicole Miller recently moved its La Jolla store to The Forum in Carlsbad.
"We moved in August and still love La Jolla," said Nicole Miller owner Stefanie Lyon. "I now just bring the clothes to the Village."
Lyon added that she hopes to do several of these events in La Jolla each year.
Guests sipped holiday cocktails, nibbled on appetizers, shopped the racks and were treated to hair styling by San Diego-based theFactory and makeup by Chanel.
A portion of each ticket sold to the event supported Dress for Success San Diego. The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools.
