County Gasoline Prices Continue to Drop

The decline has been steady for 18 days and counting, but prices in La Jolla are still above the county average.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County decreased today for the 18th consecutive day and 24th time in 26 days, falling three-tenths of a cent to $4.245, its lowest amount since Feb. 24.

The average price is 2.9 cents less than one week ago and 13.5 cents lower than one month ago. But it is 5.6 cents more than a year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has decreased 11.8 cents over the past 26 days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Saturday.
