Watch Santa Duke It Out With Martians
La Jolla YMCA's Firehouse is putting on a fun holiday play for the family.
Ever wonder what would happen if the icon of Christmas, Santa Claus, was abducted by aliens? Wonder no more.
is a new production at La Jolla’s put on by the kids of the San Diego Junior Theatre and it’s just in time for the Christmas season. The play is directed by Katie Rodda and was adapted for the stage by Andi Allen.
In the play, Santa Claus gets captured by Martians, leaving everyone to wonder if the magical holiday will even happen. Santa Claus vs. The Martians is based off the 1964 movie Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, which features an alien attack on the North Pole and Santa fending the green guys off. The production is said to be tongue-in-cheek and is suitable for kids ages 8 and up.
