Known for his stunning collection of wildlife images, La Jolla photographer Stan Keiser has released his first calendar. The 2012 calendar showcases the best of his recent work, with all 12 photos featured in the months they were originally taken. And for an added plus, Keiser will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to two wildlife preservation groups: Sky Hunter, a raptor rehabilitation center in Alpine and the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA.

It’s the gift that keeps you organized, is beautiful to look at, and gives back to nature.

Keiser is a self-taught photographer, whose early career focused on underwater imagery. He has worked with renowned oceanic organizations, such as the Cousteau Society and San Diego’s Sea World. In later years, the photographer turned his lens toward the animals and birds of California.

“I enjoy the challenge of capturing wildlife in their natural habitat,” Keiser said. “And, to take images of the same animals or birds over a period of time, as they begin to recognize me and not fear my presence.”
