See 'Thoroughly Modern Millie'

The J*Company Youth Theatre is performing a Tony-award winning musical.

Come watch the J*Company Youth Theatre pay tribute to La Jolla Playhouse in a "thoroughly modern" way.

will be performed by aspiring youth actors, featuring 14-year-old Celia Tedde, a High Tech High Media Arts student. Tedde will take the character of Sutton Foster and you can watch her perform during March.

The Tony-award winning musical has been called a high-spirited piece and takes place in New York City circa 1922. Young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city, finds herself in the midst of a series of madcap adventures when she sets her sights on marrying her wealthy boss.

The audience should expect some surprises from director Joey Landwehr. Landwehr is said to have infused the cast with celebrity cameos by iconic characters in the roaring 20s, like Dorothy Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, F. Scott Fitzgerald, the Gershwin Brothers, Josephine Baker and more.

Ready to kick up those heels and have a wild time in the city? Thoroughly Modern Millie as performed by the J*Company Youth Theatre will be playing at every Saturday and Sunday through March 18 as a special tribute to the .
