Rockola Opens La Jolla Concerts By The Sea Series on Sunday

The La Jolla Concerts By The Sea series runs each Sunday through Labor Day.

Written by Kyle Lundberg

Rockola will bring an eclectic mix of music to La Jolla on Sunday in the first Concerts By The Sea event of the year. The classic rock tribute group performs everything from The Beatles to Steely Dan

Billed as “America’s classic rock experience,” San Diego-based tribute band Rockola specializes in music ranging from the 1950s through the early 1970s, chronicling the history of early rock n’ roll through the psychedelic 60s and the rock renaissance that followed shortly thereafter.

The band’s name comes from the brand of nostalgic-style jukebox that plays timeless hits well into the night, including Brown Eyed Girl, Chain of Fools, Twist and Shout, Sweet Home Alabama and I’m a Believer.

A highly sought after act both locally and around the country, Rockola is set to kick off this summer series in style. All Concerts by the Sea are free, and food concessions will also be provided.
