MCASD La Jolla To Hold Family ArtLab

Families can flock to MCASD La Jolla for a unique art experience May 5.

During the first weekend of May, families can get educated on all-things art.

is a special event at the (MCASD) here in La Jolla. It’s a two-hour family experience that delves into art, specifically the current exhibit on display at MCASD.

At Family ArtLab, Gallery Educators will take you on a special tour and teach you about , which is on display at the museum through May 13. The exhibit focuses on diverse media, like lithography, etching, photogravure, aquatint, photo intaglio, embossing, silkscreen and more. Baldessari uses visual restraint and crops his images in unique and intriguing ways for the viewer.

You can ask the Educators all about the exhibit and families will even be able to participate in a printing workshop highlighting John Baldessari’s work and process.

This fun event is suitable for families with children that are 5 years of age and older. Tickets are limited (60 participants only!) and come on a first-come, first-served basis.
