Les Shelleys Sang Sweet Songs at the Athenaeum

The Athenaeum's A List hosted an evening of folk music, art, food and drinks on Thursday.

The A List hosted an evening of art and music with a performance by Les Shelleys, an acoustic-guitar duo from L.A on Thursday night. The duo is formed by singer Tom Brosseau and partner Angela Correa, better known as the indie-pop singer/songwriter Correatown.

Their music was described as “a charming meander through Guthrie, Dylan and vintage pop”  by U.K.’s The Guardian in 2010.

Guests also wandered the gallery to view La Jolla-born artist Kathleen Marshall's exhibit, Still in Paris. Marshall's work will be on display through Dec. 31. Her work is held in the collections of the San Diego Museum of Art, the Albertina Museum, Vienna among many other public and private collections.
