Art Festival Will Benefit Rehabilitation Center

The La Jolla Festival of the Arts is a two-day celebration of all-things arts that supports a good cause.

What's better than a day dedicated to art? Two days, with a little fundraising thrown in.

The is back this weekend, with two days of juried art, live chalk art creations and art performances. Need to fuel up before visiting the next art exhibit? Restaurant Row will keep guests full with eight different options, including local restaurants and popular food trucks.

Live entertainment will provide the soundtrack to the weekend, with performances by Rockola, Bayou Bros, Monsoon, Fred Benedetti and Peter Spraque. Click here to see the event's lineup.

The festival will bring together more than 190 award-winning artists in one of the most prestigious juried art shows in the country. The weekend-lon event is produced by the Torrey Pines Kiwanis, a non-profit organization that raises funds to support adaptive sports and recreation programs for San Diegans with disabilities. This year’s festival will also benefit Sharp Rehabilitation Services, which helps those who have incurred serious and long term injuries.

Ready to appreciate some art while helping out those in need of rehabilitation? The La Jolla Festival of the Arts takes place on June 23 and 24 at UC San Diego's Warren Field. Saturday hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets cost $12 online through June 22 and $14 at the gate. A VIP package for two adults that will include admission on both days is just $50. Anyone attending who is 16 and younger can get in free.
