The 23rd Annual San Diego Jewish Film Festival Kick-Off will be held Sunday at the . Film and history lovers can view Follow Me: The Yoni Netanyahu Story, which has already won the Best of Fest at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Best Documentary Feature at the Palm Beach International Film Festival this year.

The San Diego Center for Jewish Culture provided this synopsis for the unrated film:

Meet the man who embodied the spirit and strength of one of Israel’s finest moments of heroism.  In this film his brother, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is one of the documentary’s many erudite commentators who, along with the rich archival footage, recount Yoni’s childhood in Israel, his years at Harvard, his marriage, and how he distinguished himself to become a dynamic, respected leader during 1973’s Yom Kippur War. The filmmakers have assembled a straightforward documentary that uses Yoni’s own words – in the forms of his moving, eloquent letters and poems to create a searing portrait of his short but meaningful life.
