Your Patch guide to happiness.

It's always nice to feel like you're an insider, with the chance to take in something few others get to see.

Like a look behind the curtain at a family in crisis. Or at an actress revealing the turmoil she faced though her life looked perfect in public. Or at the homes of the fortunate few who snagged properties built by a famed home designer.

A play closing out its La Jolla run, a book tour and a local historic home tour are there for your pleasure March 24-27. There also are music and dance options in La Jolla and beyond.
