This show represents a small group of local, Jewish Russian artists who have made art their second career and San Diego their second home— they are 3 very interesting, talented professionals whose works are very diverse and tell many stories of both the past and present.
Artists: Jacob Fraden Ph.D. is a professional inventor, scientist and entrepreneur. Among his inventions are several well-known products: the Thermoscan Ear Thermometer, motion controlled light switch, and home blood pressure monitor.
Renata Shafor, M.D., has worked and painted in San Diego for the last 15 years. While in Russia, she worked as an internist in small and large clinics. Here in San Diego, she is a neurologist and sleep medicine physician.
Eugenya Zinger immigrated from Leningrad (St. Petersburg) to Canada and later moved to the USA. During her youth she studied painting at prestigious art schools in Leningrad. Eugenya holds a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering.
