San Diego Science Festival

The San Diego Science Festival kicks off a week of activities that continue through March 26 at venues throughout San Diego County.

The Expo Day finale at Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd., San Diego, includes stage performances, exhibits and experiments presented by local scientists and institutions. The free fest runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 26.

That same day, the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair, also free, takes place at the Balboa Park Activity Center. The fair is for middle and high school students. The fair hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organized by UC San Diego in collaboration with several local groups, including Scripps Institution of Oceanography, San Diego State University, Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair, Ruben H. Fleet Science Center, San Diego Coastkeeper, San Diego River Park Foundation, the Tijuana Estuary and the YMCA.
