The San Diego Jewish Book Fair runs Nov. 3 through 10, 14 and 15. The festival includes a lineup of acclaimed authors, lectures, an evening of comedy and a Family Day celebration. Many events are free. Today's festival features:
- Jerry Muller, Capitalism and the Jews, at 10 a.m.
- Steven Pease, The Golden Age of Jewish Achievement: The Compendium of a Culture, a People and Their Stunning Performance at noon
- Marilyn Berger, This Is a Soul: The Mission of Rick Hodes at 2 p.m.
- Cathleen Schine, The Three Weissmanns of Westport at 4 p.m.
- and Todd Gitlin, The Chosen Peoples: America, Israel and the Ordeals of Divine Election at 7:30 p.m.
Talks @ 2 featuring Marilyn Berger is a free event. Tickets must be purchased for the other events.
