Get Famous with the Greedy Organ

It’s time to get creative. The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) is hosting an art contest called “Get Famous with the Greedy Organ.” People age 25 and younger are invited to create artwork inspired by the Greedy Organ- an eyeball who can’t get enough artwork to feed his visually demanding appetite. To see the eyeball, get ideas, and submit your artwork, visit www.feedyourgreedyorgan.com. Time is ticking! Contest entries are due Sunday, June 10. Hundreds will enter but only 25 finalists will be selected to have their work displayed in a showcase at the Museum from June 21-25, where the public will be invited to view the works and vote on their favorites. Prizes will be given to the top three finalists, but the overall winner receives the best prize of all—their work will be featured in an advertising campaign. Need some inspiration? Visit one of three workshops where MCASD staff will offer art supplies and ideas to get you started on May 20, 28 & 29. Visit www.feedyourgreedyorgan.com for more details. Fame awaits!
