Based on the film, rivival and original Broadway musical by Rodgers & Hammerstein, Flower Drum Song in concert follows Mei-Li, a Chinese immigrant who struggles to balance tradition and assimilation while looking for love in San Francisco. Staged by SDAART, which gives voice to the Asian-American experience and has produced 35 plays, including five world premieres.
