Film Screening: Art in the 21st Century, Season Six

MCASD, in partnership with Art21, presents a sneak preview in advance of the premiere of the sixth season of Art in the Twenty-First Century, the only prime time national television series focused exclusively on contemporary art. The first episode will be screened on April 12 in Sherwood Auditorium.

The following Saturday afternoon, the Museum will screen all four episodes that together make up Season Six. These events are free and open to the public. The season premieres nationally on PBS April 13.

EPISODE 1: CHANGE > THURSDAY, APRIL 12 > 7–8 PM
This episode features artists who bear witness, through their work, to transformation—cultural, material, and aesthetic—and actively engage communities as collaborators and subjects. Ai Weiwei, El Anatsui, and Catherine Opie are featured.
