The fair marks the 1970 founding of the park, which is known for the murals painted on the freeway and bridge supports that crisscross the grounds. The theme for the 41st anniversary celebration is “Education and Knowledge: Our Key to a Better Future.”
Bands set to perform include Agua Dulce, Savor, Cafe Moliendo, rapper Big J, Band 2012, Halo-N-Fern Tee, Back N Time, Mariachi Juvenil de San Diego and Mariachi Imperial de San Diego. Also includes booths, children's art workshop and a car show.
Organizers recommend taking the Trolley to 25th and Commercial to avoid parking hassles.
