Hailed as one of New York Times top 10 plays of 2011, Blood and Gifts tells the story of the secret spy war behind the official Soviet-Afghan War of the 1980s.

The play offers up a slice of historical fiction laced with dark humor, as it follows the character of CIA operative Jim Warnock and his struggles to stop the Soviet Army's destruction of Afghanistan.

Come join the cat-and-mouse chase known as Blood and Gifts at La Jolla Playhouse. The play runs from June 12-July 8, except on Mondays and July 4.

Performance times vary. Check the site below for the schedule. Tickets start at $26.
